This position will follow approved curriculum course outlines dault timelines and perform all course exercises as explained in the Instructor Guides. In addition, this position will actively participate in the updating and revising of a course as a team member in the curriculum development process and review new instructional materials as requested.
The Instructor will also maintain records, reports and documentation of activities during each course delivery. Other duties will include classroom and topic preparation, delivery of classes including demonstrating with teaching aids, completing required administrative paperwork and maintaining technical competence and skills. The collee may also involve traveling to remote locations and providing classroom and field instruction. Experience in emergency management planning.
Comprehensive understanding of whole community inclusive emergency management. Physical Requirements: Lead instruction and provide effective demonstration of required topics; communicate clearly in English both orally and in writing; use a computer, keyboard and telephone; and use commercial aircraft for travel. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles.
Ability to effectively use computers. Ability to use a variety of media to present course material.
Excellent small group facilitation and team building skills. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
